At Bribie Island State School, we aim for our homework program to work specifically on improving students' organisation and time management, helping them to develop good study habits, foster positive attitudes towards school, and communicate to students the idea that learning takes work at home as well as at school (Cooper in The Art of Science and Teaching - Robert J. Marzano) and also to assist students in:
- Being Safe
- Being respectful; and
- Being an active learner.
At Bribie Island State School we believe that Teachers, Students and Parents all share responsibility in regards to homework.
Parents should ensure that they are aware of the School's Homework Policy that has been developed by the Bribie Island State School Administration Team in association with Bribie Island State School P&C and the School Curriculum Committee.
